Parlez-nous de vos débuts à la radio ?
On pourrait dire que c’est quelque chose qui est qui est venu naturellement. Quand j’étais encore jeune, les gens disaient que j’avais une belle voix que je pouvais chanter ou faire de la radio. En ce moment j’étudiais à Thiès et je venais passer les grandes vacances à Dakar. Par la suite je me suis rapprochée de Mickael Soumah. J’allais chaque après-midi à Dakar FM pour le regarder animer et l’aider à recevoir les appels téléphoniques. Au bout de deux ans, il a commencé à me donner petit à petit le micro. A cette époque, je devais avoir entre 16 ou 17 ans. Après il m’a présenté aux gens du triangle Sud notamment à Radio Sénégal Internationale(RSI). C’est là-bas que je fais mes premiers pas. J’animais le matin à RSI et l’après-midi je me rendais à Dakar FM. Après il y a des radios régionales qui devaient s’ouvrir dans les régions, j’ai accompagné Mickael Soumah à Thiès lors de l’ouverture de RTS Thiès. Il a fait un jingle en français pour la radio et m’a demandé de faire la version wolof. Ce que j’ai fait. Par la suite, je suis restée à Thiès pour intégrer cette radio et j’ai commencé à me faire un nom.
Comment vous avez atterri à la RFM ?
J’ai atterri à la RFM par le biais de Dj Boub’s que j’ai connu à Thiès. On a eu à se chamailler sur scène lors de l’anniversaire de la troupe théâtrale « Janxen » et de celui de Waflash. Tout juste après le décès de Ndèye Awa Mbaye (Eva Mbaye), j’ai appris que la radio est à la recherche d’une animatrice pour la remplacer et Boub’s m’a contacté. Je lui ai dit que je suis à la RTS Thiès et que je n’avais ni salaire, ni de contrat. J’ai fait 5 ans là-bas et je n’avais même pas 40 000 F. Même si je n’avais pas de salaire, j’avais l’estime de la population. C’est après l’autorisation de mes parents et de mes supérieurs que j’ai rejoint la RFM où j’ai laissé aux responsables le soin de me proposer eux-mêmes un salaire. Ils m’ont donné un bon salaire et j’ai commencé le soir même l’émission en assurant moi-même la technique. Après je me suis exercée à la télé avec Africable ou j’animais une émission de beauté. J’ai aussi fait un bref passage à la 2Stv dans le cadre de ma formation et maintenant je suis à la TFM.
Vous êtes aussi une des animatrices de l’émission « Dakar Ne Dort Pas ». D’ailleurs d’aucuns disent que c’est une émission qui dérange. Qu’en pensez-vous ?
Je ne dirai pas oui. Parce que si ça dérangeait autant qu’ils le disent, la demande ne serait pas forte. Pour vous dire qu’actuellement la demande est tellement forte qu’on n’arrive pas à satisfaire tout le monde. On a créé cette émission pour que les gens ne dorment pas (Rires !). Vous savez le plus difficile dans une émission de télé, c’est d’accrocher le public. Et les gens l’aiment beaucoup surtout dans les régions. Les Sénégalais aiment se voir et cette émission leur sert de vitrine. Alors je ne comprends pas ces gens qui disent que c’est une émission qui dérange. Si cela dérangeait autant, je pense que la loi est là. A mon niveau, je pense qu’on ne fait rien de grave.
Nous allons maintenant entrer dans votre jardin secret. Est-ce que Niatam est fiancée comme le disent certains médias ?
C’est normal que j’aie un fiancé. Depuis que j’ai l’âge d’être avec quelqu’un, je sors avec des gens. Donc je suis célibataire et fiancée (Rires !!!). Car j’aspire à être une épouse si Dieu le veut bien.
Qu’est-ce que cela vous a fait de remplacer Eva Mbaye ?
Je pense qu’Eva est irremplaçable. D’abord, je ne l’ai ni connue, ni écoutée à la radio, car en ce moment j’étais à Thiès. J’ai appris son décès à travers la presse. Quand je suis venue à Dakar deux semaines après, je suis allée voir ses parents. J’ai rencontré sa mère (Maman Racky). La première des choses qui m’a marquée est que tout le monde s’était mis à pleurer quand ils m’ont vue. Ils me disaient que j’ai la même voix qu’Eva Mbaye. J’ai demandé à voir sa photo, sa maman m’a donné deux des photos, puis elle m’a remis ses casques et ses CD. Elle m’a dit : « Le Bon Dieu m’a pris une fille et Il m’en a ramené une autre » Depuis lors on a gardé de bons rapports avec ses parents à St-Louis. À chaque fête des Mères, je fais un cadeau à sa maman. Je tiens aussi à signaler que quand je commençais l’émission, il y avait certains parmi ses fans qui m’appelaient en direct pour me signifier que personne ne peux pas la remplacer. C’était très dur, mais je les comprenais bien et je prenais le soin de leur faire savoir que je ne suis pas là pour la remplacer. Finalement, ils ont compris que c’est le destin et tout le monde est revenu à de meilleurs sentiments. Maintenant ses fans sont devenus mes fans. La seule différence est qu’Eva était une personne ouverte alors que tel n’est pas mon cas. D’ailleurs on me le reproche.
Quelle expérience avez-vous vécu à travers votre émission « Relève Bi ?»
C’est ma première émission à la TFM et j’ai beaucoup appris aux cotés des membres du jury qui étaient là, à soutenir les jeunes talents surtout Pape Cissé. J’ai beaucoup pleuré à chaque fois qu’un candidat devait quitter la compétition. Cela m’a fait comprendre que dans tout concours, il y a un gagnant et un perdant. Il y a eu aussi des contradictions entre des membres du jury surtout Pape Cissé et Dembélé. C’est normal, Dembélé est un professionnel dans son domaine alors que Pape Cissé était là pour veiller au comportement des candidats. Vous voyez, c’est parce que « Relève Bi » c’est du sérieux, ce n’est pas que chanter, le comportement y est pour quelque chose. C’était ça l’idée de Pape Cissé que les gens ne comprenaient malheureusement pas. Donc les candidats pleuraient, il y avait trop de problèmes. Et quand on me demandait de trancher, je leur disais que je suis mal placée car je m’entendais bien avec les candidats. A Chaque fois qu’on décide d’éliminer un candidat, j’étais là pour le défendre. Mais Pape Cissé n’est jamais d’accord, voilà ce qui fait le charme de l’émission.
Et qu’en est-il de votre relation avec Demba Dia ? Il parait que vous vous donniez rendez-vous dans un hôtel. Pouvez-vous nous édifier ?
Cela me fait rire d’entendre parler de cette histoire. C’est la première fois que j’en parle publiquement. Ce jour là, j’étais restée à la maison car j’étais malade. Tout d’un coup j’ai commencé à recevoir des messages de mes amis : « Niatam, tu m’as déçue, Niatam patati… ». Je me suis dit mais qu’est-ce qui se passe ? J’ai appelé des gens qui m’ont dit que le site Facedakar a posté une photo de moi et Demba Dia, et qu’on se voyait en cachette. J’ai allumé mon ordinateur. J’ai ri dès que j’ai vu la photo, j’ai appelé le journaliste du site qui m’a dit que c’est une rumeur qui leur est parvenue. Avant cela même j’ai entendu dans une revue de presse dont j’ignore la que une des filles de la Rfm était au cœur d’un scandale. Ils ont expliqué mais ce n’était pas clair. Comme ils ont dit que cette fille est mariée, je me suis dit que je n’en fais pas partie parce que je ne suis pas mariée. Après ils ont changé de version pour dire que c’est Niatam. Le lendemain, ils ont mis un autre article pour dire que « Niatam dit que ce n’est pas elle » Mais ils n’ont pas confirmé. Le même jour à 16h, j’ai revisité le site, à ma grande surprise, ils ont écrit que : « Niatam a été citée à tort ». Je me suis dit que ce sont des choses qui arrivent lors qu’on est célèbre, c’est la rançon de la célébrité en quelque sorte. Je l’ai vécu avec philosophie parce qu’il y a des choses qui ne me fatiguent pas surtout quand je suis quitte avec ma conscience. J’étais à 100% sûre que cela faisait 4 voire 5 ans que je n’avais pas croisé Demba Dia. Je n’avais même pas son numéro. Je l’ai eu au téléphone quand il a sorti un single lors des élections présidentielles. Je lui ai dit : « Mais Demba tu n’as même pas réagi, avec tout ce qu’on dit sur toi et moi » Il m’a dit que les gens aiment raconter ces genres de choses. Je lui ai posé la question de savoir ou se trouve l’hôtel ? Il a ri jusqu’à raccrocher le téléphone. Ce qui m’a plu dans cette affaire, c’est que je ne voulais pas qu’on enlève cet article, parce que les gens qui me connaissent savent que ce n’est pas vrai. J’ai quand même pleuré pas pour l’article, mais à cause des témoignages que les gens ont faits à mon égard. Certains même je ne les connais pas. Là, je me suis remise en question. Quelque part je me suis dit que nul n’est parfait.

You can buy all of them directly from the owner, or via third party sources if they are designed for your notebook, however only a few laptop will have a cover on the market. I have seen lots of useful things on your internet site about personal computers. However, I have the judgment that notebooks are still not quite powerful adequately to be a good selection if you typically do tasks that require lots of power, for example video touch-ups. But for world wide web surfing, statement processing, and many other common computer work they are okay, provided you never mind the little screen size. Appreciate sharing your opinions.
